Why it happens

Weakened core and back muscles, poor lifting posture while feeding, sleep deprivation, and stress. Cesarean adds incision discomfort.

Support strategies

  1. Hold baby close to your body; use pillows when feeding.
  2. Gentle movement and pelvic-floor exercises when cleared.
  3. Calcium and vitamin D from food or supplements as prescribed.
  4. Short warm/cold packs if allowed.

See a clinician for

Leg pain with numbness, fever, red incision, or pain radiating down the leg.
